The Devonshire Square Easter Tree is back in our Western Courtyard!

From 11th to 20th APR

The Devonshire Square iconic Easter Tree, dedicated to the Honeypot Children’s Charity, is back in our Western Courtyard!

The Devonshire Square Easter Tree is a social art installation created by the Devonshire Square Events Team to raise awareness of the Honeypot Children’s Charity and encourage online donations in aid of this wonderful organization.

The hundreds of eggs that decorate the tree have been hand painted in naïf style by using a range of painting techniques including water, oil and acrylic paint, along with natural dyes from red and yellow onion skins.

The Honeypot Children’s Charity is the only charity in the UK that is solely dedicated to supporting young carers between 5-12 years and every year they support almost 2,500 young carers across the country.

Young carers are children who provide care and emotional support to a parent, a grandparent, or a sibling who is ill, disabled, suffers from a mental health conditions or substance abuse.

We would like to invite you all to purchase one less Easter egg this year and make a donation in aid of the Honeypot Children’s Charity instead.
Donations can be made online through the Honeypot Children’s Charity’s official website: https://www.honeypot.org.uk/donate , quoting “Devonshire Square’s Easter Tree”, so that they know that you are responding to our appeal. We would like to warmly thank you all for joining the Devonshire Square Easter Tree Appeal in aid of such a great cause and we wish you all a Happy Easter!
