On 12 March, from 12:00 to 12:30, Devonshire Square will host a special open-air performance in its courtyard as part of City of Women, a powerful programme launched by its long-term partners, Music in Offices, to mark International Women’s Day.
The performance will be delivered by the Cheapside Choir, bringing music, energy, and community spirit to the heart of DSQ. The choir will transform the historic courtyard into a space of connection and celebration by performing a powerful selection of songs that celebrate female strength, self-realisation, and resilience while inviting audiences to pause and share in a collective cultural moment.
The performance follows a programme of open and inclusive rehearsals, which bring together women from all backgrounds, ages, and professions across the Square Mile to sing, connect, and join a public celebration of women’s voices, stories, and leadership in the City of London.
After performing at Devonshire Square, the choir will continue to The Royal Exchange for the main performance.
All members of the DSQ community and the general public are warmly invited to welcome the choir and join the City of Women programme – a living movement of music, storytelling, and collective action that honours the women who have shaped and continue to shape the City of London.
The DSQ performance is free to attend, and registration is not required. However, to take part in the choir and participate in the main performance, registration via the dedicated Eventbrite page, available here, is required.
The singing performance will be followed by the launch of DSQ’s International Women in Arts Festival at 13:00, featuring further performances, complimentary tastings of globally celebrated recipes created by women, interactive workshops, and events celebrating female talent.
