On Thursday 28th April, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, as part of the Otherlandz visual art exhibition, Devonshire Square will be hosting in its Pop Up Art Studio a philosophical debate led by Ayisha De Larolle.
Attendees will be encouraged to share their views on the exhibitions, looking and seeing through each other’s eyes. The group will form their own connections to the works, whilst raising questions about their own identities and what it means to belong or feel at home in a place.
Ayisha is a practical philosopher who facilitates collaborative conversations. She has been philosopher in residence at Turner contemporary in Margate, for Turner Prize 2019 and Mansions of the Future in Lincoln. Her current inquiry is how to bring the intelligence of our emotions and bodies back into the conversations we hold about what it is to be human.
