On Wednesday 8th March, Devonshire Square will be celebrating International Women’s Day by hosting in its historical Western Courtyard a FREE to attend lunchtime concert by Classic Brit Award nominees and internationally acclaimed classical group Ida Girls.
Described as ‘breath-taking’ by Official London Theatre, the four exceptionally talented sopranos have performed in some of the most prestigious venues and festivals all over the world, and their multiple TV appearances include London Live, This Week on BBC1 and most recently ITV’s Walk the Line.
The Ida Girls group is composed by British-Iranian soprano Jasmine Faulkner, Jersey-born soprano Georgi Mottram, Scottish soprano Wendy Carr, and Irish soprano Sarah Vaughan.
The group will be presenting at Devonshire Square an eclectic repertoire which includes some of the most beautiful operatic arias, musical theatre favourites and chart-topping hits from international musicians and composers.
The Ida Girls have performed numerous times to 40,000 at West End Live and their critically acclaimed album, Believe, described as ‘Exquisite’ by the Sunday Post, was released in 2018, achieving great success in the Official Classical Charts.
Soprano Jasmine Faulkner’s single will be released in 2023 and will mark the beginning of her journey to amplify the voices of Iranian women who have been silenced, and to bring hope to the world through music in challenging times.
You are all warmly invited to join us in welcoming these outstanding and inspiring artists to Devonshire Square, and enjoy a lunchtime music performance to remember.
The event is taking place from 1pm to 1.45pm and is FREE to attend, however, registration by emailing the Devonshire Square Events Team on frontdesk@dsq.london is required as availability is limited.
