On Tuesday 7th March, join Devonshire Square, Acrylicize and the London Metropolitan School of Art, Architecture and Design to celebrate the opening of Petticoat tales, an exciting new exhibition featuring students’ works which celebrate the past, present and future of the unique historical location of Devonshire Square.
The event will take place from 6pm to 8pm in the DSQube, Western Courtyard, Devonshire Square, EC2M 4AE, and everyone is welcome to attend.
The exhibition, Petticoat Tales, showcases the work of eight BA Fashion Design & BA Fashion Photography students from the London Metropolitan School of Art, Architecture and Design who were paired up to create a showpiece garment using locally sourced African Wax fabrics from the iconic Petticoat Lane in East London, now known as Middlesex Street.
Four winning pairs have been selected to have their garments and images displayed as a permanent mural at the Devonshire Square complex on Middlesex Street as part of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets’ Middlesex Street Art Trail which will open late 2023.
The event is FREE to attend, however, registration via the dedicated Eventbrite page – available on the following link – is required: Petticoat Tales Tickets, Tue 7 Mar 2023 at 18:00 | Eventbrite
