'Iconic Divas': A Lunchtime Celebration of Legendary Female Voices

Thursday, 12th March 2026

On Thursday, 12th March, DSQ will proudly celebrate female talent by hosting ‘Iconic Divas’, a FREE lunchtime concert featuring the multi-award-winning female vocal group Disco Diamonds.

Known for their stunning harmonies, vibrant performance style and polished stage presence, the group will delight audiences with a repertoire of some of the most iconic songs by legendary female artists, including Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan and more.

Led by Tashala Forrest, founder of both Sleeke and Disco Diamonds, the ensemble brings extensive experience from television, theatre, touring and international stages.

Members of the group have performed alongside world-renowned artists including Stevie Wonder, Soul II Soul, Sister Sledge, James Arthur and Paloma Faith, promising a show filled with exceptional talent and charisma.

The performance will take place from 13:00 to 14:00 in Devonshire Square’s Western Courtyard and is FREE to attend, offering audiences an inspiring lunchtime experience celebrating female artistry, empowerment and creativity.

Attendees will be treated to a complimentary tasting of both savoury and sweet specialties, celebrating famous international recipes originally created by women. The dishes have been prepared especially for the occasion by the talented chefs and bakers from Devonshire Square’s restaurants and bars. Highlights include:

  • Victoria Sponge bites – crafted by the chefs at Devonshire Terrace, following the original recipe attributed to Anna Maria Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford.
  • Brownies and chocolate chip cookies – baked in-house by Story Coffee’s bakers, inspired by the original recipes of Bertha Palmer and Ruth Wakefield.
  • A secret creation –  prepared by local female confectionery artists.

The tasting will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Devonshire Square’s International Women in Arts Festival

‘Iconic Divas’ is part of DSQ’s International Women in Arts Festival, a curated programme of performing arts shows, artist-led workshops, and interactive pop-ups designed to celebrate and support female talent. Organised and curated by DSQ’s Community and Events Management, the festival aims to address the gender imbalance within the arts sector by providing a platform for women artists to shine, while also raising awareness of the vital work of international women’s rights organisation Womenkind Worldwide.
