A Mesmerizing Ballet Experience Followed by a Complimentary Tasting of Festive Delights, in Aid of Local Homeless Charities
On Thursday, 11th December, at 1pm, Devonshire Square will mark the 10th edition of its highly anticipated ‘Art for Love’ Winter Festival with an enchanting classical ballet performance.
Set in Devonshire Square’s atmospheric Western Courtyard, ‘A Nutcracker Fantasy’ will be brought to life by a team of exceptionally talented dancers in exquisite tutus and dreamy costumes, presented by the internationally acclaimed creative company JLee Productions.
The performance will showcase original choreography by former English National Ballet soloist Jenna Lee, set to the music of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker.
As with all performances included in Devonshire Square’s ‘Art for Love’ Winter Festival, the show will be free to attend, in line with DSQ’s commitment to offer the opportunity to enjoy exciting cultural experiences to all, bringing the arts to its historical courtyards and redeveloped green spaces open to the public.
The 15-minute performance will be repeated at 1:30 pm, and between the two artistic sets, attendees can enjoy a complimentary tasting of Christmas treats from DSQ’s iconic restaurants and bars, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Devonshire Square’s Art for Love’ Winter Festival
‘A Nutcracker Fantasy’ forms part of Devonshire Square’s ‘Art for Love’ Winter Festival, a curated programme of world-class artistic experiences organised by Devonshire Square’s Community and Events Management to support the arts and raise awareness of important social causes.
Charity Appeal – DSQ’s Giving Tree
This year’s edition is dedicated to supporting The Connection, London’s largest homeless charity, and local non-profit Whitechapel Mission. From 15th November and throughout the festival, Devonshire Square will collect essential items – such as warm clothing, non-perishable food, and toiletries – in aid of these deserving charities.
Donations can be dropped off at the ground floor receptions of Buildings 6, 9, 9a, and 7, from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. All contributions will be delivered to the charities over the festive season, with a second delivery scheduled for the second week of January.
For inspiration on what to give, visit the Devonshire Square’s Giving Tree, a unique Christmas tree adorned with paper hearts on which the wishes of those in need, supported by The Connection Charity, have been transcribed. Visitors are invited to read and honour these wishes in the true spirit of the season.
The Giving Tree will be on display in Devonshire Square’s Western Courtyard from 2nd December to 7th January and is free to visit.
All artists performing during the DSQ ‘Art for Love’ Winter Festival will appear beside this iconic tree, which has helped hundreds of homeless individuals receive the essentials they need to face the cold months and to feel cared for during a time when loneliness can be hardest.
