Devonshire Square’s Soul Royalty Winter Festival 2019

30TH NOV 2019
The Soul Royalty Winter Festival

On Saturday 30th November from 4pm to 10pm, Devonshire Square successfully launched the second edition of its Soul Royalty Winter Festival, a soul music live concert hosted by Devonshire Square in partnership with international touring artists Zalon – who  performed as Amy Winehouse leading singer for many years – and the participation of ERA, a 15 piece full choreography band formed by some of the finest Soul, Funk and R&B artists in the UK, including Heshima, RPG,  Jermaine Riley and Reggae songstress Aysha Loren.

The outstanding 6-hour show saw the artists performing hits from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s 90’s and 00’s, combined with original songs.

The event was FREE to attend and aimed at raising awareness and funds in aid of The Connection – London’s busiest homeless charity – to which the whole Devonshire Square’s “Art for Love” Winter Festival was also dedicated.

Following the success of the previous edition, which was watched on livestream by more than 80,000 people, Zalon enthusiastically accepted Devonshire Square’s invitation to perform and host the show again in 2019, in support of a very Important social cause.

All singers encouraged online donations in aid of the charity throughout the evening.

The event was watched on livestream by thousands of people and attended with great participation on site by hundreds of soul-music lovers who enthusiastically danced and sang alongside the artists throughout the evening, creating a joyous, festive atmosphere and a memorable experience.

We would like to warmly thank Zalon, all artists and all attendees who joined Devonshire Square in supporting The Connection Charity.

We would also like to express our gratitude towards Jasmine Dotiwala, the fantastic host of BBC Radio programme “The Scene” for inviting Zalon and Aysha Loren to her programme to speak about the Soul Royalty Festival and Devonshire Square’s Giving Tree, our very special Christmas tree dedicated, as is the Festival,  to raise awareness about The Connection and to encourage donation in aid of this wonderful charity.
