From 1st December 2022 to 7th January 2023, Devonshire Square will be hosting in its historical Western Courtyard the Giving Tree, a unique Christmas tree entirely adorned with red paper hearts, on which wishes expressed by homeless people supported by The Connection Charity have been carefully transcribed, in order to give them a chance to be read and honoured by visitors.
If you would like to help, please come to visit The Giving Tree and bring any items that you wish to donate to Devonshire Square Block 6 ground floor reception, at any time from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, from 1st to 20th December.
All donations will be delivered by a dedicated courier to The Connection charity centre on 22nd December.
Alternatively, you can visit The Connection official website to donate online.
First created by the Devonshire Square Events Team in December 2015, The Giving Tree has helped hundreds of homeless people to receive a thoughtfully made gift for Christmas.
We would like to warmly thank everyone who is joining Devonshire Square in supporting this great cause.
Your gesture of generosity, no matter how small, can mean so much for those who cannot enjoy the comfort of a home.
The illumination of the Giving Tree will take place at 1pm on 1st December, and will be celebrated with a lunchtime concert by the Abraxas Ensemble, which will mark the launch of the Devonshire Square’s Winter Events Programme.
The programme includes the Soul Royalty Winter Festival by Zalon and the Devonshire Square’s “Art for Love” Winter Festival, a 2-week programme of FREE to attend artistic performances, organised and curated by the Devonshire Square Events Team to raise awareness and funds in aid of the charity.
Should you wish to know more about the Devonshire Square’s Giving Tree or if you have a query on the Devonshire Square’s festivals of arts, please contact the Devonshire Square’s Events Team on 02076850800 or email them on frontdesk@dsq.london and they will be delighted to hear from you.
